Insurance Policy
Your vehicle is insured. In case of theft or damage to your vehicle, the insurance company attends of the costs with an exemption for breakage of 200€ and an exemption for other cases of 500€.
The breakage of windows isn’t covered by the insurance. The exemption is 250€, charged of the renter.
The vehicle is insured in case of theft with an exemption of 500€. The personal belongings of the renter, which are inside the vehicle, are not covered by the insurance company.
Civil liability is covered up to 1.220.000€ for material damage and bodily injury.

Rental Policy – Terms and Conditions

Age
There is no extra charge for young and elderly drivers, however the basic condition is that their license has been valid for at least one year.
The maximum age to rent a vehicle is 79 years.

Driving License
Driving licenses should have been issued in Greece, USA, UK, Canada, Israel, Russia, Ukraine, Australia and Switzerland. For the rest of the countries, an international driving license is required.
Traffic Violations, Traffic Fines and Administrative

Penalties
Any summons and administrative penalties from the Greek legislation for driving the vehicle during its rental are the sole responsibility of the renter, if by the time the vehicle is delivered, the administrative penalty has not appeared in the agency, the violation will be charged to the tenant.

Taxes / VAT
The listed prices include VAT (24%).

Additional Drivers
One person can be registered as a driver at no extra charge. Up to three drivers are accepted at an additional cost of 3€/day/driver. Τhe main driver is included.

Reserve a specific model in a category
Vehicles belong to a specific group, which includes different models with similar characteristics. After the confirmation of the reservation, we will deliver the requested model, if it is available on the day of your arrival. In case that there is no vehicle available, we have the right to deliver another vehicle of the same category or higher, at no additional charge.
Possibility of vehicle replacement in case of accident/damage:
This option is only provided if the use of the vehicle is not contrary to the terms and conditions of the contract, within 24 hours from the mentioned time.

Infant & Child seats
The children’s seats of various types available are free of charge.

Flight Delays
In case of flight delay there is no extra charge to deliver the reserved vehicle.

New models of 2022
The experienced staff will have checked the vehicle for its perfect condition before its delivery.
Inside the vehicle there is also a recent map of the island of Crete.

Fuel Policy
1st) As far as fuel is concerned, it will not have to be delivered in the same amount of fuel that it had when it was received.
2nd) The vehicles which will be delivered outside of opening hours, must have at least half a tank of fuel.
3rd) Finally, the delivery of the vehicle can be with an empty fuel tank, as the cost will have already been paid by the renter and the money is not returned, as long as it is within the time and at the agreed delivery point.

Lost Keys
In case of loss of the keys or damage to the vehicle, the customer will be charged the costs for their replacement. In case that the keys are inside the vehicle, the cost of retrieving them shall be borne by the customer.

Cancellation Policy
Refund of advance payment in case of cancellation 48 hours before the vehicle collection time.
The money will be credited within about 5 days to the same account number where the advance was paid.
The deposit is non-refundable in case of cancellation less than 48 hours before the pick-up time as well as if the customer does not show up on the rental date.

Cancellation of reservation
Your booking can be canceled via our page where it says ‘my booking’. You can put in the email address and booking number you were given when completing online.

Cancellation more than 48 hours before the pick-up time
A refund of the entire amount paid at the time of booking can only be made if the cancellation is more than 48 hours before the pick-up time. The money will be credited within about five days to the same account where you had paid for.

Cancellation within 48 hours before pick up time
50% of the rental value can be refunded if the cancellation is made less than 48 hours before the pick-up time, but without the full amount being refunded.

No show
In case the customer does not appear at the time of collection and the vehicle is not collected on the agreed date and time, the pre-paid amount is not refunded.

Cancellation Policy and Administrative Fee
If you cancel your booking before you receive confirmation, then the full payment amount can be refunded.
If you cancel the reservation within 2 hours from the confirmation time and the rental date started in less than 48 hours, then the amount will be refunded, minus 30€ for the administration fee.
Once a booking has been made, the confirmation will be sent with all the details. The tenant is obliged to check the details of the reservation, ex the category of the car, the gearbox (manual/automatic), its characteristics, etc.
Upon receipt, the reservation cannot be canceled as long as the rental conditions are met. The booking will show that the customer did not show up.

Modification of the Reservation
Changes to the booking can be made on the “my reservation” page at any time. This change will be processed and confirmed within 12 hours.
If this change affects the entire rental amount, the prepayment amount will not change.
The deposit will be calculated when the booking is confirmed and will be made at the office when the vehicle is collected. If there is an overpayment, a refund will be made after the modification.
Car rental prices may change and be higher when the change date reaches the rental date.
The price you see on your booking is guaranteed to be the price you will pay – but the price you book today is not guaranteed to apply if you make any other changes, ex. date.
If there is a change in the rental period, the price per day may change, especially if the total rental is less than a week. Generally, more rental days you book, the lower the price per day you have.
If you want to return the vehicle earlier than the contract date, no refund can be made for unused days.

Rental Extension
Having already received the car, if you wish to keep it for more days, you must contact our company and find out if the car is available.
However, if the car is not available, we will not be able to serve you. In this case where the rental extension is possible, there is the possibility of a delay of one hour, as long as the company has been notified and agreed. The next 3 hours will be charged at 10€/hour. For more than 3 hours, you will be charged one day. Please note that if the customer returns the car later than the agreed return time, without having extended the rental (with the permission of the agency), there is no coverage from the insurance company.

Delivery and Collection of Vehicles
We support the delivery / collection of our cars from/to all places within our system and in addition all airports, ports and hotels. For the places that are not in our system, you will contact us in advance. We can deliver a car between 22:00-07:00 with an additional charge of 20€, which is paid upon collection on the spot.

Vehicle transport by sea and rentals outside the island’s borders
Transporting the vehicle by sea and renting it outside the borders of the island is strictly prohibited. All insurances are canceled and the renter is responsible for any damage to the car, outside Crete.

One-way rentals
All vehicles can be used for one way, provided this is confirmed in the contract from the beginning of the rental.

Accident
In case of accident, you should contact our agency immediately on our 24/7 helpline for instructions on how to deal with the incident. It is forbidden to leave the scene of the accident without reporting the event. If for any reason you cannot contact us, you must call the police. If the renter does not report the fact to us, he will have to pay for the damages that may have been done to the rental car. If any passenger in the car is injured, you must call the police/ambulance. If the other car leaves the scene of the accident, take a photo or write down its license plate number. We will contact our insurance advisor to report the accident. Driving under the influence of alcohol and violating the Code of Civil Procedure is prohibited.

Use of the Car
Insurance coverages and waivers apply provided the renter complies with all terms and conditions.
The renter is obliged to observe the vehicle frequently and report any damage either to our company or to the police as soon as possible, without moving the car, in order to be able to provide any information requested to clarify how the damage/accident occurred and to draw up the statement that should.
If he doesn’t report the damage or accident within 2 hours of it happening, he immediately assumes the responsibility and must cover the cost of the repair. Statements given at the time of returning the car will not be accepted, because it will not be possible to clarify the circumstances of the accident/damage.
Our office is entitled to be compensated by the tenant for the amount of the repair of the damage, in the following cases:
In the event that the car is driven on a road other than asphalt, a dirt road (ex. Balos), with or without intention.
In the event that the driver violates traffic rules (ex. road signs/STOP), speed limits, road direction, U-turns, illegal overtaking with a double lane violation, etc).
In the event that the driver goes off the road due to lack of attention.
In case the driver violates the parking rules.
In the event that the car is driven in speed races, rallies or competitions or used for reward (taxi or courier service).
In the event that the car is driven by someone who has been confiscated or has never had a driving license suitable for the particular car or is not a registered driver in the contract.
In the event that the driver is not able to drive the car, ex. influence of alcohol, drugs, etc.
In the event that the car has been damaged by the lessee’s negligence or not (ex. damage to the car’s body or doors from strong wind, damage to the clutch, dents in the hood / trunk / roof of the vehicle, damage to the interior of the vehicle, damage from animals, etc.)
